Post Production
Subject Overview
During this subject students will gain a basic understanding of what an ‘edit’ is and the types of edits that can be used in in films. They will also explore how colour correction and colour grading enhances the appearance of a film; how sound design enhances mood, tension, atmosphere, reality, surrealism, and ‘fixes’ mistakes in the sound of a film; and also how music composition helps audiences to emotionally engage with a film. Students will further observe how the presence and absence of music affects film scenes.
